Back in Stock: Chain Covers, Bags and more

We just received another shipment from Ostrich in Japan. Included are the chain covers—essential protection when you travel with your bike. The Chain Cover keeps your chain away from luggage and clothing during travel or bike storage. The Chain Cover attaches with Velcro and fits virtually any bike. Made from fabric left over from the manufacture of cycling bags, the Chain Covers are an example of our commitment to sustainability.

Another essential travel component are the Rene Herse frame pads. Their diameter is adjustable for wrapping frame tubes, seat- and chainstays, as well as fork blades. The pads are short enough to fit on bikes with downtube shifters, multiple bottle cages, etc. They are thin, so you can carry them with you on your ride, yet so strong that they offer real protection against scratches and dents. Velcro closures make the pads easy to attach and remove.

We also got the popular Rene Herse handlebar roll bags in all three sizes. Simple, light, durable, waterproof: These bags are everything you need, and nothing more. The simple no-frills design keeps the bags ultralight. Ultra-strong straps and reinforced seams mean you can trust your bag even on the roughest bikepacking adventures. Made from waterproof, 100% recycled Ecopak fabric with waterproof zippers, these are the bags you’ll take on every ride.

The shipment also included Rinko bags. Rinko is the Japanese system of packing bikes for train travel. It’s an elegant way of converting your bike into a small package that you sling over your shoulder and carry on trains, subways, buses or in other crowded places. It’s not just great for train travel, but also if you plan to take your bike on a car trip and don’t want to haul along a rooftop or bumper rack for your bike.
